The Dragon has changed frequencies, and it’s opening up a whole new storyline for us personally & collectively.
On July 27th, 2026, the Nodes of the Moon shift signs for the first time in a year & a half, moving out of the Pisces/Virgo axis & into Leo/Aquarius. This is one of the most significant collective shifts of the year, & we will feel its reverberations for the next 18 months, taking us all the way through the 2027 Human Design background frequency shift & into an entirely new era of what it means to be authentically, unapologetically, fully ourselves.
If you have been feeling emotionally raw lately, if you have been in an extended process of clearing, purging & releasing mental patterns that no longer serve & thoughts of “I’m not good enough, not experienced enough, knowledgeable enough, why does what I think matter to anyone, everyone else is already so much farther along than I am, perfection paralysis of any kind, etc.”: you have been feeling the South Node moving through Virgo. The cosmic gardener has been pulling weeds in the garden of your mind since January 2025. That chapter is now complete.

A little mythology before we dive in.
The Nodes of the Moon are not celestial bodies in the sky, they are calculated from the two points where the Moon’s orbit around the Earth intersects the Earth’s orbit around the Sun. Mythologically, they are represented by the great Ouroboros, the Dragon eating its own tail in the never-ending cycle of death & rebirth.
The North Node is the Dragon’s Head, representing our collective Dharma & Destiny: the energy being called forth, amplified & strengthened within all of us.
The South Node is the Dragon’s Tail, representing our collective Karma: the outdated, unhealed imprints being purged & released so we can move forward in a good way.
The signs of the Nodes are also where we have our Eclipses. So this shift isn’t just a quiet change of frequency. We actually already had a little taste of this energy back in February 2026 with the North Node Total Solar Eclipse in the sign of Aquarius. (You may remember that this was also the new moon that kicked off the Year of the Fire Horse).
Take a moment to reflect on everything that has been amplified in your life since February this year.
Our journey into this energy will deepen next month, with a South Node Total Solar Eclipse at 20° Leo on August 12th, followed by a North Node Lunar Eclipse at 5° Pisces on August 28th, & continuing into 2028. Mark those dates. Eclipses are the moments when the Dragon accelerates our evolution, whether we feel ready or not & they always, always know what they are doing.
What we are leaving behind: South Node in Virgo & North Node in Pisces
Ruled by Mercury, Virgo in its quintessence is all about pattern recognition & the path of Sacred Service. It is the priestess, the healer, the discerning gardener who knows exactly which plants to tend & which to pull.
In its healed expression, Virgo is devoted, organized, intelligent, humble & capable of perceiving the symbolic patterns woven through the material realm.
In its unhealed expression, it can be self-critical, perfectionistic, locked in analysis paralysis & convinced that it is never quite good enough.
The South Node in Virgo has been acting as a cosmic cleaning crew inside all of our minds since January 2025. Every thought that said I’m not ready. I’m not good enough. Who am I to do this? The internet is already too loud for my voice to matter… those thoughts have been exactly what the Dragon’s Tail was here to compost. The perfectionism. The addiction to having the right strategy before you begin. The careful, careful way so many of us have been withholding our most authentic, genuinely feral creative expression because we were waiting until it felt polished enough to share.
Praise every force in the cosmos. That chapter is closing.

What we are moving into: North Node in Aquarius
Ruled by Uranus, Aquarius in its quintessence is all about AUTHENTICITY. It is the revolutionary, the inventor, the mad scientist, the genius who cannot stop having ideas even when everyone around them thinks those ideas are strange. Aquarius is futuristic, electric & connected to the frequency of Atlantis at its most brilliantly illuminated: the civilization that understood technology as sacred, that knew innovation & healing could be one & the same.
In its healed expression, Aquarius is unique, freedom-loving, community-oriented, globally thinking, philanthropic, innovative, liberating & radically tolerant of every individual expression.
In its unhealed expression, it can be fragmented, alienating, overly intellectual, unrelatable or so far ahead of its time that it forgets to actually connect with the humans around it.
With the North Node amplifying the energy of Aquarius over the next 18 months, we can expect an acceleration in everything this Sign governs: artificial intelligence, new technologies, revolutionary inventions, social justice movements, the restoration of power to the people. Sound healing specifically feels important here. Ancient technology disguised as futuristic medicine. I believe we are about to see this field expand in ways we cannot yet imagine.
But here is what I most want you to understand about the North Node in Aquarius: it is asking every single one of us to stop conforming. To stop dimming the frequency of our most unique, magical, individual expression in order to be palatable. To stop shrinking into the shape of what we think others want to see & start trusting that our actual selves, our weird, woo-woo, one-of-a-kind selves, are the exact frequency the collective needs most right now.
Your authenticity is not a liability in this energy. It is an asset.
What we are releasing: South Node in Leo
The South Node always purges the unhealed shadows of the Sign it moves through. In Leo, this means the Dragon’s Tail is coming for the dramatic, power hungry leaders, who are arrogant & extravagant, dominating & childish. The leader who needs the applause more than a purpose. Drama for drama’s sake. Ego masquerading as confidence. The tendency to seek approval from the audience rather than creating because the creative fire demands to move through you.
The South Node in Leo is not asking us to stop shining. It is asking us to purify why we shine.
There is a profound difference between performing for approval & expressing yourself because it is your nature to do so. Here I’m reminded again of Marianne Williamson’s quote “You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do.”
The South Node in Leo is composting the first so the second can fully bloom. Watch for where this purge shows up in the collective: leaders who mistake spectacle for substance, institutions built more on image than integrity. We will see all of it rise to the surface to be cleared. Do not be afraid of this. The Dragon’s cosmic cleaning crew knows what they’re doing.
The hidden (or not so hidden gift):
One thing that makes this particular Nodal Shift a little more generous & optimistic: Jupiter, the Great Benefic, the King of the Gods, entered Leo on June 29th & will remain there through July 26th, 2027. He is sitting in the same sign as the South Node for most of this eclipse cycle. This is rare. Think of it like a cosmic insurance policy.
Jupiter in Leo ensures that even as the shadows of Leo are being purged, the medicine of Leo, the creativity, the courage, the generous & radiant self-expression, is being amplified simultaneously. The King is here to make sure that what we release in this cycle does not take our light with it. Only what was never truly ours to carry.
The bigger picture
This nodal shift is a direct continuation of everything that has been building in 2026. The Barbault Basket weaving all the outer Planets into a harmonious web of support: Pluto in Aquarius doing the deep underground work of transforming everything we ever believed about power, authenticity & what it means to be irreplaceably, unapologetically ourselves. Uranus in Gemini is rewiring the collective mind & helping us to shift our perspective related to technology. Saturn & Neptune in Aries are calling us to take responsibility for building the systems & structures in our lives so we can become Spiritual Warriors for our dreams. Jupiter in Leo is the ignition switch for all of it, refusing to let our creativity stay hidden one moment longer, expanding our confidence & our courage to finally be seen.
And woven through all of it, Chiron in Taurus is beginning its eight-year healing of all the ways we have held back our voices & the expression of what is most sacred to us.
Every thread has been weaving toward this: a collective initiation into the understanding that our most authentic, individual, irreplaceable expression is not separate from our service to humanity.
It is essential for our service to humanity.
The North Node in Aquarius says: your weirdness is your medicine.
The South Node in Leo says: create because you love it, not because you need to be loved for it.

A note on the 2027 Human Design shift
For those of you who are familiar with the Human Design system, you will know that 2027 marks a significant moment in our collective evolution: the background frequency is set to shift from a tribal, fear-based frequency to a radically individual, self-oriented frequency. What this means in practical terms is that the old model of belonging, the one that required us to conform & sacrifice our individual expression for the sake of the tribe, is coming to its completion. What replaces it is a world where each person’s unique, authentic gifts are not just tolerated but essential to the functioning of the whole.
The North Node in Aquarius moving into place now, as a major support of that shift, is not a coincidence. The Dragon is preparing us.
