The great dragon of destiny & the shifting of time
The Great Dragon of Destiny has shifted frequencies and is yet again initiating us into new levels of our Soul Purpose, both collectively and individually, while also simultaneously initiating a new cycle of Karmic Cleansing for us all. 🧹🧼
On Saturday January 11th, the nodes of the moon shifted signs, moving from the Aries/Libra axis (which has been our collective exploration& experience since July 17, 2023), into the Pisces/Virgo axis (which will be our collective experience from now until July 26, 2026).
Remember this shift doesn’t just occur the day the Nodes of the Moon change signs, but resonates and reverberates throughout our collective psyches over time. You may have already been feeling this shift, or you may start to notice it more in the coming months.
Stay open and curious and take notes on what reveals itself to you.
The Nodes of the Moon (the North Node & the South Node) are calculated from the 2 places where the Moon’s orbit around the Earth intersects the Earth’s orbit around the Sun. They are connected to our collective Destiny/Dharma (North Node) and the resolution & purification of old, outdated energies/Karma (South Node) so that we can move forward in a good way.
Mythologically the Nodes of the Moon are represented by the Ouroboros, the Dragon eating its tail in a never ending cycle of death & rebirth.
The North Node (NN) is related to the Dragon’s Head and represents our collective Dharma or Destiny. The Sign that the NN is transiting through (in this case Pisces) represents the energy that is being activated, strengthened, and called forth from within the collective to support our path moving forward.
The amplification of this energy is essential for our collective evolution. We are also simultaneously tested to see if we can temper this energy to keep it from expressing itself in an unhealed way.
Ruled by Neptune (or Jupiter in ancient Astrology), Pisces in its Quintessence is all about our IMAGINATION. Often times this is represented by the archetypal energies of the mystic, dreamer, spiritual visionary, psychic, artist, musician, healer, and savior/martyr.
In its healed expression Pisces is spiritual, dreamy, poetic, romantic, beautiful, empathic, compassionate, fluid, sensitive, and idealistic. (This energy in particular will be amplified both personally & collectively over the next 1.5 years).
In its unhealed expression, it can be escapist, dissociative, prone to addiction, confused, diluted, vulnerable, spacey, and depressed.
With the North Node in the Sign of Pisces, over the course of the next 1.5 years, we can expect an increase in our need for rest/sleep, dreams, desire to dissociate (tune out to tune in), spiritual connections & artistic expressions, especially around the time of the eclipses.
With the North Node in Pisces, collectively, we will notice the shift from the initiating, fiery, Cardinal energy of Aries towards the dreamy, empathetic, Mutable energy of Pisces. Artists, mystics, musicians, and the spiritual/healing professions can be amplified. Also be aware that with the NN in Pisces, we can see an increase in confusion, delusion, uncertainty, misinformation, evasion, and depression. Anytime you notice some of the more unhealed energies of Pisces, it’s a good time to slow down, rest, retreat, work with water, and return to your artistic/spiritual practices. As we navigate the uncharted waters and swirling mists of Pisces, the beauty of our IMAGINATION is required to dream a new reality into being.

On a personal level, you may see an increase in your connection to your dreams & spiritual practices, you may find yourself more sensitive to the struggles of humanity and channel your feelings into creating art, music, or writing poetry. As Pisces has a dissolving nature, it will be essential to focus on your Energetic Hygiene, as well as take exceptional care of your immune system. In your Birth Chart look for the house where you find the sign of Pisces for more clues as to how this may present itself. This is also where you can welcome opportunities & resources to soften & romanticize your life over the next 1.5 years. It’s time to dream expansively & creatively for solutions on our collective healing journey.
The South Node (SN) is related to the Dragon’s Tail and represents our collective Karma or Past Life imprints. The Sign that the SN is transiting through (in this case Virgo) represents the energy that is being purged & released from within the collective to support our path moving forward.
The South Node acts like a Karmic Vacuum Cleaner, helping us to cleanse ourselves of the unhealed energies of the Sign it is moving through. When we show up to this cleansing process willingly we may also receive benefits from Past Lives related to the Sign & House it is transiting in our Birth Charts.
Ruled by Mercury, Virgo in its Quintessence is all about PATTERN RECOGNITION and your path of Sacred Service & devotion. It is associated with the archetypes of the priestess, doctor, disciple, gardener, herbalist, mentor, and the specialist.
In its healed expression Virgo is devoted, organized, intelligent, discerning, efficient, humble, and able to perceive the symbolic patterns & interconnectedness of the material realm.
In its unhealed expression, it can be overly critical, judgmental (of self & others), rigid, perfectionistic, hyper focused, overly strategic, overly analytical, uncertain, timid, and lacking in confidence. (This energy in particular will be released both personally & collectively over the next 1.5 years).
With the South Node in Virgo, as a collective, we can see the cleansing of the working sector, employment/unemployment, public health, farming, farm animal health, medical records, data systems, healthcare, food production & distribution, and imbalances within the social services sector will all be up for review. This might get gnarly, but remember, it’s for our collective growth.

Personally, we will all be asked to purge & release old patterns of being judgemental, narrow-minded, overly critical (of self or others), overly analytical, and perfection paralysis. Outdated identities related to self-sacrifice, victimhood, inferiority, fear of mistakes, and humility as a lack of self-worth will all have to be addressed, healed, and integrated. Check your chart for the house where Virgo falls for clues as to where this Karmic cleansing can play out for you.
The signs of the Nodes are also where we have Eclipses. The last time the North Node was in Aries & the South Node was in Libra was April 2004 – March 2006. Think back to that time for a little taste of what this energy might be like.
We already had a little feel of this energetic shift with the fianl Eclipse Portal of last year. Here are the eclipse dates for this axis:
This Pisces/Virgo Eclipse Cycle is very significant as it will take us all the way to February 2027 (when the Background Frequency is set to shift according to Human Design.
Mark these dates in your calendar/journal to look for patterns:
