There’s this saying in business that your ideal customer/client is yourself 5 years ago…
Back in 2020, I was at the height of running myself in circles trying my very best to be a Manifesting Generator (most people thought I was).
I had been following a very successful Sacral Generator and modeling my business after hers – I was doing around 15 launches per year, running 2 schools, going Live on Instagram to do mini sales pitches weekly, being politically active on Social Media, and had a team of 4 women supporting me.
I thought that after 6 years in business, I had finally “made it” as an entrepreneur.
When I turned 40 in December 2020, my 16 year old dog-child (that I’d had since she was 4 months old) passed away. I barely worked for the first 3 months of 2021. I thought it was my grief, but I was really utterly & completely exhausted – I just wasn’t ready to admit it yet.
Then everything started to fall apart.
Sales were down, I wasn’t getting very many new clients, and multiple relationships in my life started combusting in very dramatic ways.
I was just limping along in my life & in my business. Everything that had worked in the past (all the tactics, techniques, and launch strategies) wasn’t working anymore.
Looking back now, I know I was spread entirely too thin. I had my awareness spread out over too many different courses, and I was just going through the motions.
People weren’t getting the depth and penetrating awareness they wanted/expected from me as an Emotional Projector (whether or not they were aware of that), and my work wasn’t resonating anymore.
As a last ditch effort, I hired a well known Manifesting Generator coach for $15k for 6 months. And while I’m so grateful to have had her support during that very challenging time – I’ve also spent the last 3 years undoing everything I built in my business as a result of her advice.
And let me be very clear, none of this was her fault.
I didn’t know what it was to be a Projector, and how detrimental it could be for me to take advice (especially business advice) from someone who has way more energy than me, and technically isn’t designed to be able to see me.
One of the most important things for anyone in business is to know how you are different from the rest of the world, and how to craft your business to be a direct expression & representation of your unique design.
This is what really calls your people to you – you being your true self – not some cookie cutter copy of someone else’s business – because that’s what worked for them.
Thankfully, in 2022, I started studying with Amy Lea (also a Projector), who opened my eyes to the specific type of care & guidance Projectors need. With the help of Breyton Belazo (also a Projector), I was empowered to become very radical in my Projector experiment and truly align my life completely with my Emotional Authority.
Now my business – how I create & promote my offerings, my relationships (personal & professional), the type of support I receive, and my entire life in general – has absolutely & completely transformed.
Now work feels like play, I never force anything (even when my mind screeches at me), and I receive quality invitations & experience the sweetest Success.
