Taurus New Moon 2025 | Rakaiel Webb

April 27th, 2025 at 9:31am HST / 12:31pm PST

This New Moon has a bite to it, but it’s still one of my favorite new moons – deeply nourishing, fertile, and rich with beauty. If you can stoke the fires of your passion to transmute all that no longer serves, the sweet intention seeds you plant with this new moon will blossom & flourish in the months to come.

Are you feeling ready for a fresh start related to your self-confidence, finances, your sense of aesthetics, and slowing down to really enjoy the sensual experience of what it is to be alive on this Earth?

The New Moon occurs on April 27th at 9:31am HST (12:31pm PST) at 7° Taurus.

Every New Moon marks the beginning of a new cycle, a reset, and a fresh start. Since November 14th, 2024, (when we had the previous Taurus Full Moon), we’ve all been integrating the closing of a cycle related to the changes in our values (these values are about what is important to us – not moral values). Take some time to think back to where you were in November last year – what was completing or coming to a close around that time?

You may also notice a connection to this time last year, when we had the last Taurus New Moon on May 7th?

For me, the Taurus Full Moon in November last year was when I hosted the final Sound Temple ceremony, which completed a cycle of 7 years of offering Sound Ceremonies for the New & Full Moons. Over the past 6 months since then, I’ve been in a process of integrating that completion, reflecting on all that cycle brought me with gratitude, and preparing myself for the next chapter – which begins with this Taurus New Moon. When I think about this time last year in May – the 2024 Taurus New Moon was the last moon that my little cat, Prince Cricket was still with us. Since his passing on May 12, 2024, I’ve had a huge shift in my values, as this was the completion of a 20 year chapter of me being a pet mom. Do you notice any similar patterns in your own life?

Ruled by Venus, Taurus is all about our VALUES – the material things we choose to surround ourselves with, how we value ourselves (as expressed through our self-confidence), what we choose to do with our time, and how we choose to invest our money.

Taurus in its healed expression: Calm, centered, patient, sensual, luxurious, grounded, dependable, hardworking, practical, nourished

Taurus in its unhealed expression: stubborn, resistant to change, materialistic, overly attached, overly cautious, scarcity mentality, hoarding.

As a fixed Earth sign, Taurus is represented by the Bull who pulls the plow to till the fertile soil for new plantings. When you look at the sigil for Taurus (above) you can also see the female reproductive organs, further amplifying its connection to fertility and growth.

While the Taurus New Moon is generally one of my absolute favorite new moons for setting intentions (deep, rich, fertile soil for planting seeds of beauty & prosperity) — this one has a bit of a bite to it, as Mars & Pluto are both squaring the Sun & Moon.

ASPECTS TO THE TAURUS NEW MOON

The New Moon occurs at 7° Taurus and will be engaged in the following aspects:

__________

Squared (challenged by) Mars at 4° Leo:
- Mars is the God of War, and as with all planets, even though he is sometimes considered a “malefic” planet, he has both healed/integrated and unhealed/unintegrated expressions. Mars in his healed energy gives us passion, drive & motivation to take inspired actions in the direction of our dreams. In his unhealed expression we see restless agitation, frustration, anger, and egotistical rage. Mars in Leo can either give us the passion to take creative action in our lives, or it can have us creating drama & picking fights just to move the energy. You decide how to wield your sword… are you ready to fan the flames of your passions & take inspired actions to express your creativity?
Squared (challenged by) Pluto at 3° Aquarius:
- Pluto is the Lord of the Underworld, and represents power, control, secrets, mysteries, manipulation, anything taboo/hidden (sex, money, and the need to control or be controlled). Pluto in Aquarius is part of a 20 year total transformation of our connection to our authenticity & the freedom to make radical changes in our lives in order to become more true to ourselves. Square to the New Moon, Pluto is asking us to take back our power as we make this new beginning in alignment with how our values have transformed since May 2024.
Also of note: this is the 3rd and final Mars Pluto Opposition:
- Throughout Mars’ Retrograde journey, he has had several tense encounters with Pluto. Mars opposite Pluto can bring secrets intended to manipulate (or have power over others) to the surface with explosive anger & frustration – so watch your temper this weekend. Our triggers can be closer to the surface, and you may feel a sense of restless anxiety, and anything might set you off. If you feel this way, first move your body – Mars energy lives in the fire element inside our bodies, so get your heart rate up – dance, run, walk, whatever you need to do to get moving. Bonus points if it’s also linked to some form of creative expression, alchemizing your past wounds & hidden triggers. Burn away all that no longer serves.
  - Prior Mars Pluto oppositions in this cycle where November 3rd, 2024 & January 2nd, 2025. Notice where you see any patterns & connections…

Are you ready to fan the flames of your passions & take inspired actions to express your creativity?

Are you ready to take back your power & radically transform your life as you make this new beginning – in alignment with how your values have transformed since May 2024?

The audio transmission that came through for this Gate/Gene Key for the Synthesis Membership was FIIIIIRE. (If I do say so myself).

The New Moon in the 24th Gate/Gene Key asks us to become the glitch in the Matrix of our minds. In the darkness of this new moon, make some time to look at your mental shadows – where do you have habitual, repetitive thoughts of fear, scarcity, and survival?

It’s time to change the broken record that’s been playing on repeat, on repeat, on repeat, on repeat, on, on, on, repeat, repeat, repeat…

So much of the time, we allow our minds to keep us on the hamster wheel of negative self talk, that have us imprisoned & frozen in fear, or anxious and agitated – just doing a bunch of busy work that doesn’t really amount to anything.

How to we change this?

By calling forth the strength to stay with ourselves in the fear, to look it in the eyes, and breathe with it.

When we stop running away from our fears, or trying to numb them with any & all forms of addiction or avoidance – when we rest in the gap – that uncomfortable space in between – when there’s no clarity, no certainty, no direction, no inspiration… and simply hold ourselves in the void, without wishing we were anywhere else…

That’s when the magic comes in…

The magic, the mutation, the miracle!

It’s everything we’ve been praying for – yet it came in a way that was absolutely unexpected!

The 24th Gift of Invention is at the heart of the human creative process – it is the secret of creativity itself.

Addiction thinks in circles, whereas invention thinks in spirals.

Invention cannot be called upon, demanded, or provoked into being. It strikes like lightning once we finally surrender our need to know or be in control. Your life is not a problem to solve – but a story to experience… A great and beautiful story – if you will allow it.

I delivered a powerful & deeply mutative transmission for this Gate/Gene Key in the Audios for The Synthesis Membership.

In the Synthesis Membership, for each Full Moon and New Moon, I share 3 audio transmissions that are usually around 20-50 minutes each:

____

An overview of the Full/New Moon in the particular sign.
Diving into the details of the various Planetary Aspects that are also involved in the conversation.
Exploring the correspondences of the Full/New Moon to the Human Design Gates and Gene Keys.
