Welcome to the Age of Individuality
On November 19th, Pluto, the Dark Lord of the Zodiac fully entered into Aquarius (no more retrogrades back into Capricorn), and ushered us into a new paradigm.
If you haven’t noticed any significant transformations yet, don’t worry, as our slowest moving, most outer planet, Pluto is a s l o w b u r n.
And, this isn’t the first time we’ve felt what it feels like to have Pluto in Aquarius. There have been 2 other time periods over the past 2 years when we have been in this energy, but let’s start from the beginning…
Aquarius is ruled by the planet Uranus, and as a fixed Air sign, brings us the energy of radical change, innovation, revolution, rebellion, invention, genius insights, and breakdowns that lead to breakthroughs.
Aquarius/Uranus energy can make us feel restless, and inspire us to break free of old patterns where we have been holding ourselves back or playing small. Remember that for whatever breakdowns or changes may occur in your life – that when Aquarius is involved – these changes always contribute to your greater LIBERATION.
Pluto is the Dark Lord of the Underworld (aka Hades) and brings us powerful initiations where we have to walk through the fires of our own mythic hero’s journey of transformation, death, deep healing, and rebirth, where we must face our shadows and ultimately remember our own power, instead of projecting it onto others.
Pluto initiates a powerful unearthing of the deepest, darkest parts of our psyche related to the sign (and the house in your Brith Chart) where he is moving through. Since 2008 he has been journeying through the sign of Capricorn, transforming all system & structures of control related to traditional government, housing (remember the real estate crash of 2008), finance, and business (the entrepreneurial boom since 2008 as well).
Now that Pluto has officially entered into Aquarius, over the next 20 years, Pluto will totally transform & revolutionize our relationship to community, AI, technology, space travel, and more (expect everything from Ai to Astrology to Atlantis to become more mainstream). In 2044 the world will look radically different than it does today. This is coinciding with the prophecy in the Human Design system that tells of a genetic mutation that will occur in 2027, shifting the background frequency from a tribal, fear-based frequency, to a radically individual, self-oriented frequency.
We think we want Unity Consciousness, but until we can become radically accepting of each person’s INDIVIDUAL expression (from pronouns to political preferences to beliefs and how we move & operate in the world), the version of Unity Consciousness that we have been sold up until now still has the homogenizing energy of sameness to it.
Pluto in Aquarius is here to transform all of this. Any energy of Cancel Culture or the tribal ritual of calling people out for having different perspectives or for “selfishly” taking care of themselves over the tribe will have to die.
Basically the closer we get to 2027, the more self-oriented & selfish everyone is going to become.
On a personal level, you can look to your Birth Chart to see what house is ruled by Aquarius. This is the area of your life that will be undergoing radical transformations for the next 20 years.
Aquarius is all about expressing our own unique, authentic, weird, quirky, woo woo, individual selves. As Pluto is the Lord of the Underworld, over the next 20 years, each & every one of us will have to offer the Sacred Death to all of those stories & beliefs that have told us to conform to social norms, or any outer conditioning we have received from our government, religions, parents, bosses, friends, or anyone/anything we see as an Authority.
There have been 2 other time periods over the past 2 years when we have been in this energy.
To look for clues in your own life as to how the energy of Pluto in Aquarius might present for you, go back to the time from March 23 – May 1, 2023 and January 20 – September 1, 2024, as these were the previous two times Pluto was in Aquarius. Check your calendar, journal, photos, Instagram story Archive to get a sense of how you experienced this energy personally.
- Did you notice any subtle (or not so subtle) power dynamics related to your own unique, authentic expression?
- Did you experience any challenging situations for changing or becoming more of yourself?
- Where did you feel the urge to make radical changes in your life?
It’s also significant to note that the previous 2 times that Pluto has been in Aquarius (early 2023 and majority of 2024), that we’ve also been undergoing a karmic purging in our relationships with the Libra Eclipses aligned with the South Node. These eclipses have been preparing us for the radical transformations of Pluto in Aquarius.
Many relationships will come/have come to an end around this time (or change significantly), especially those that have been built around people pleasing (you or the other person), sacrificing your uniqueness so that the tribe can function, or are based on any abdication of your individuality.
Any new relationships that are formed during this time must empower your freedom to be yourself.
The Age of Aquarius is the Age of INDIVIDUALITY.
Never before has it been more important or essential for you to love yourself so deeply & fully that you can actively cultivate your Uniqueness, and to have the courage to let go of any people/places/situations where your Individuality isn’t welcome & celebrated.
Pluto’s transformations are never easy, but in Aquarius, they will always result in your empowerment & LIBERATION.
