Mars has entered the chat. And he is here to add fuel to the fire that Jupiter started.
On September 27th, Mars moved into Leo, and something you have been feeling building since the end of June just got significantly louder.
Since Jupiter entered Leo on June 29th, a particular area of your life has been infused with the energy of expansion, optimism, abundance and a growing belief in the goodness of life. For many of us this has been around creative expression, shining our light and letting our magic out in new, fun and playful ways. The timelines shifted. Something that had been gestating quietly started to feel possible.
Now Mars arrives in that same territory and asks: what are you going to do about it?
Mars is the planet of drive, desire, action and courage. Where Jupiter expands, Mars ignites. From September 27th through November 25th, Mars is moving through the exact same territory that Jupiter has been expanding in your life since the end of June, and together they are one of the most powerful combinations for turning a vision into a reality.
There is one more layer to this that makes it even more significant. The South Node of the Moon is also currently moving through Leo, and will be for the next 18 months. The South Node is what I call the karmic vacuum cleaner: the Dragon’s Tail, clearing and purging the unhealed shadows of the sign it moves through. In Leo, this means the South Node is specifically here to purify our relationship to creative expression, transmuting the need for applause or external validation.
And now Mars arrives in this same field, fueling everything. Which means the creative fire being activated right now is not just an invitation to create more. It is an invitation to create from a completely different place than we ever have before. Not for the audience. Not for the validation. Not for the applause. Because the fire that moves through you demands it.
Mars in Leo: What is Being Activated
Ruled by the Sun, Leo in its quintessence is all about Creativity. Leo is the actor and actress, the queen and king, the playful child, the artist, the entrepreneur, the one who was born to shine.
In its healed expression, Leo is generous, loyal, warm, playful, courageous, confident and genuinely invested in the flourishing of everyone in its sphere.
In its unhealed expression, it can tip into drama, ego, the need for external validation and an attention-seeking quality that grasps rather than shines.
Here is what I know for sure: drama is always the signal of undernourished creative expression. The moment someone in your life, or in the world, is creating drama, what they are actually doing is reaching for attention in an unhealed way because they have not yet found the real channel for what is trying to move through them.
With the South Node in Leo simultaneously acting as a karmic vacuum cleaner on exactly these shadows, if you have not been expressing yourself creatively, Mars in Leo can turn into frustration, anger, resentment and all kinds of internal and external drama.
The antidote is always the same. Create something. Put the energy somewhere real. Let it out through the channel it was always meant to move through.
