Welcome to the Libra Full Moon. This is a big one.

This moon is significant in that it’s our very first Libra Full Moon outside of an Eclipse Portal since April 2023. Over the past 2 years we’ve been doing some deep excavating of our relationships, and this moon is here with the clean-up crew. The image that comes to mind is when one person (or both people) in a relationship has been gone for an extended trip, doing some life-changing retreat or ceremony work in the jungle, and they come back home and now have the task of integrating back into their relationship with their new awareness (or not).

Ruled by Venus, Libra in its quintessence, is all about Harmonization,

Libra is the perceptive observer of: the relationship dynamics between self and others, the relationships of others, the relationships between items in a space for aesthetic sensibilities, or the arrangement of music.

In musical terms, a harmony (and more specifically, consonance) occurs when different notes combine to create a pleasing sound – which is different from resonance, which is when similar notes are combined – so in order to create harmony we need there to be difference.

In its healed energy, Libra is the peacekeeper, the lover, the counselor, the just and fair diplomat, and the ambassador, able to listen to all sides in a situation and bring forth the most harmonious perspective through diplomatic cooperation.

In its unhealed energy, Libra is co-dependent, people pleasing, needy, indecisive, inauthentic, shallow, comparing, judgmental, gossipy, and avoids speaking their truth in relationships in order to “not rock the boat.”

The Full Moon occurs on April 12th at 2:22pm HST (5223pm PST) at 23° Libra.

Full Moons always bring some kind of tension, often illuminating things that have been hidden. This one represents the end of a cycle that started back with the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Libra back in October 2024 – or maybe even all the way back to February 2023. For me, this time period (2023-present) has been synonymous with really getting comfortable with my Emotional Authority, and making radical changes in my business & in my life so that I can actually live comfortably as an Emotional Being. And I’ll be the first to admit – it has not been easy on my relationships… But as I emerge on the other side, those relationships that have been able to withstand the fires of that Aries/Libra Eclipse Cycle are stronger & more supportive than ever.

Full Moons always bring us the energy of completion, celebration, and clearing.

This Full Moon has some extra tension to it that can feel almost like you’ve reached a block or an impasse – what has been hidden beneath the surface in your relationships is now being illuminated. Deep, old woundings from the past point to where you haven’t stood up for yourself & your needs, and instead favored keeping the peace in your relationships. It is time for this to end.

ASPECTS TO THE LIBRA FULL MOON

The Full Moon occurs at 23° Libra and will be engaged in the following aspects:

Opposed (challenged by) Chiron at 23° Aries:
- Chiron is known as the Wounded Healer, and is connected to our past (either our childhood, or wounds from past lives). In Aries, there can be some old, wounded part of us where we have not stood up for ourselves when we should have – or where we have been overly aggressive in our self-defense. It’s time to heal these old patterns and reevaluate any relationships that perpetuate them.
Squared (challenged by) Mars at 27° Cancer:
- Mars in Cancer is like a momma bear protecting her cubs, and is all about defending & protecting what makes us feel safe. You may notice yourself or others are quick to anger in this full moon – or that all of the repressed frustration & anger from not standing up for yourself & your needs in your relationships comes bubbling up. This is not a bad thing – it is showing us what is important.
Also of note: Venus Stations Direct minutes after the Full Moon:
- The Goddess is rising in the Eastern Horizon just before the morning Sun – have you seen her? She’s just emerging from the Underworld, and in her rebirth as the Morning Star she is fiery & passionate. The last time she was in this area of the sky (Pisces/Aries) was in February 2023, and now she is asking you to reset your relationship boundaries (she’s over there next to Saturn, the North Node, and Mercury) and get clear in your communications about how you want to be treated moving forward.

This Gate/Gene Key asks us – what is worth preserving – and in that sense, what in your life can or cannot be transformed so that it might endure? Relationships where we are asked (consciously or unconsciously) to stay the same, or to be some past version of ourselves, will not be able to withstand the intensity of this energy.

All of the awareness centers in the body graph have different fears associated with them, and the 32nd Gate is associated with the Fear of Failure… but what is failure really? Is anything really ever a failure, ultimately – or does everything that doesn’t work out the way we expected, ultimately become a potent lesson & part of our story?

Panic is the dilemma of this Gene Key – and in most of our lives this panic (or anxiety) is related to money…
