Sending you light & blessings for this Full Moon in Gemini. This moon has a destined feeling to it, and you may feel the hands of Fate maneuvering things in your favor (even if your mind doesn’t understand it quite yet).

This is a potent Full Moon. It asks us to release our white knuckle grip on our expectations and allow the magic of our destiny to call us forward onto a more aligned path. But first you must be willing to let go of all of your negative inner dialogue (about yourself & others), because it’s consuming too much of your energy.

Full Moons always bring the enregy of completion, celebration, and clearing – and also usually have some kind of tension, often illuminating things that have been hidden. This Full Moon is here to support you, to help you to release & let go of all of those thought forms that you have accumulated over the past 6 months, since the New Moon in Gemini back at the end of May.

This includes ways of communicating to yourself & others that no longer serve – but the really deep part is all of the disempowering ways of thinking about yourself & others that have been slowly eating away at your optimism & enthusiasm for life. Negative Nancy lives somewhere inside all of us, but at some point, you have to tell her to shut the fuck up.

Ruled by Mercury, Gemini is all about ADAPTABILITY.

Gemini is connected to communication, thinking, how you learn, Hermes, Thoth, shapeshifter, trickster, magician, messenger, the mental realm, curiosity, thinking, intellect, information, writing, speaking, versatility, mobility, and travel (especially short distance/domestic).

In its healed expression, Gemini is intelligent, clever, witty, curious, intellectual, adaptable, spontaneous, funny

In its unhealed expression, it can be scattered, superficial, a trickster, over talkative, distracted, overly intellectual, overwhelmed with information, and immature.

Again, if you notice these unhealed expressions of Gemini in yourself or others, simply know that it’s the Gemini energy within you asking for some loving attention (and maybe making time to research something or have that conversation that you’ve been avoiding).

Mercury, the ruler of this Full Moon, has just finished his retrograde journey. As we make our way back through the Dark Forest for the 3rd & final time, this Full Moon comes in to help us clean up & clear out our internal thoughts, mental patterns, and ways of communicating (to ourselves & others).

ASPECTS TO THE Gemini Full MOON

The Full Moon occurs at 13° Gemini and will be engaged in the following aspects:

Square (challenged) by the North Node at 13° Pisces
Square (challenged) by the South Node at 13° Virgo

When you have 2+ planets exactly 90° away from both the sun & the moon, this formation is called a Grand Cross. Made up of four 90° squares, the Grand Cross usually signifies great challenge, and under its influence, we often prefer to take the difficult path.

However – this Grand Cross is different.

Since it’s the Nodes that form the square to the Sun & the Moon, and the focal point is the Full Moon, it would be said that the Moon is at “the bendings” of the Nodes. From this perspective (on the top of the mountain, if you will), the Full Moon illuminates both the Past (South Node) and the Future (North Node). Sometimes this can give us a feeling of confusion – should we press forward into the unknown, or indulge in our nostalgia for the past? The energy here feels pointed, as if the signs & symbols hidden in our lives are speaking to us with more clarity & force.

But there’s more…. Since the Full Moon is 90° in front of the North Node, there is a heightened energy similar to that of the North Node. This is a time when outer manifestations express more easily, we feel an influx of energy, and destiny seems to be calling our name.

So even though there can be some challenges during this Full Moon, ultimately the hands of Fate are rearranging things in our lives in our favor and for our benefit, even if our minds don’t see it yet and are scrambling around to try to figure something out.

Pay attention to the signs & symbols that appear around the time of this Full Moon.

What old ways of thinking around lack, doubt, and insecurity need to be released, so that you can be available to answer the call of Fate moving you forward towards your destiny?

Where have you allowed your own expectations of how you thought something was going to/”should” have happened to push you over the cliff of disappointment?

The 35th Gate is called Progress, and it’s the Gate of Change. There is a restlessness in this energy, and we can feel intense feelings & desires for particular outcomes. There is a hunger for a particular experience to feel a particular way, but this quickly turns into a slippery slope.

Watch your expectations with this Full Moon.

You can get caught up in the past, reminiscing about how things have been before, and wishing for the same experience – only to be disappointed when it does not occur.

As you can see we also have Saturn in Gate 36 (Crisis), turning on the full channel: 36-35 Channel of Transitoriness, a Design of a “Jack of all Trades.”

The Channel of Transitoriness links the Solar Plexus to the Throat Center through the Gate of Darkening of the Light/Crisis (36) and the Gate of Progress/Change (35). In this energy, we are all being conditioned to have a deep desire for adventure and to collect different experiences. Our biggest challenge is not to get hooked on meeting the expectations of our desires. Doing anything for the first time isn’t easy and often results in crisis, but the depth of emotional awareness is the treasure we collect.

Our challenge during this time is to simply allow the experiences we have to be just that – experiences – and to not have our hopes dashed upon the sharp rocks of our preconceived expectations.

As the saying goes, expectations are premeditated disappointments.
