Something about this Full Moon feels like standing at a summit & finally being able to see the whole landscape of the journey it took to get here.
This is our midpoint Full Moon of the year, the moment where the light of the Cancer Sun reaches across the sky & illuminates everything we have been building, growing & becoming since the Capricorn New Moon back in January. That New Moon asked us to plant seeds with intention, to begin training for the mountain we wanted to climb, to take one aligned step at a time in the direction of our dreams. This Full Moon is the harvest moment. The moment we get to look back & see just how much ground we have covered.
Full Moons are always a time of celebration, completion & clearing. And this one, landing at the very peak of summer, with the light at its longest & the energy of the year at its most ripe, has the particular quality of a year-end review that arrives exactly at the halfway point.
What have you been building? What are you celebrating? And what has run its course & is ready to be released so you can move into the second half of 2026 with more lightness, more clarity & more devotion than ever?
I am so grateful to be overwhelmed with things I once prayed for.
This is the prayer I keep returning to under this Full Moon. Because Capricorn energy can sometimes feel heavy. It is ruled by Saturn, the Planet of time, responsibility & the long game. The Capricorn part of us is showing up consistently, tending to the details, managing the systems, holding the structure together.
In its healed expression, that is devotion. In its shadow, it can tip into feeling like you are carrying everything alone, like the mountain is too steep, like you have so much to do & not enough of yourself left to do it.
Capricorn is the mountain goat who does not stand at the base of the mountain staring up at the peak feeling defeated. The goat looks down at its feet. It takes one step, then another, then another, and somewhere between step twenty & step fifty it looks up & the summit is right there.
This Full Moon is your invitation to look up & see how far you have come.
Ruled by Saturn, Capricorn in its quintessence is all about Responsibility & Authority.
Capricorn is connected to the archetypes of the CEO, the boss, the manager, the mountain climber, the leader & the wise elder. It is the Sign that understands that legacy is not built in a day, that the most extraordinary things are always the result of the most ordinary devotion applied consistently over time.
In its healed expression, Capricorn gives us discipline, determination, responsibility, integrity & the stamina to put in the time, effort & energy necessary to build something that lasts.
In its unhealed expression, it can be pessimistic, depressive, controlling, rigid, overly conservative, workaholic or oppressive.
If you notice any of the unhealed expressions of Capricorn arising in yourself or others around this Full Moon, it is simply a signal. The Capricorn part of you is asking for something. Not more discipline. More devotion. There is a difference, and it is everything.

Neptune squaring this Full Moon brings a particular quality to the energy that is worth understanding so you can work with it rather than being swept away by it.
Neptune in its most illuminated expression is deeply artistic, spiritually connected & channeled. This is the energy of the muse, of divine inspiration, of those moments when something moves through you that feels larger than yourself & you are simply the vessel for it.
In its shadow, Neptune can bring confusion, lack of energy, dissociation & a quality of feeling like you have so much to do that you end up doing none of it. Scrolling instead of creating. Sleeping instead of building. Escaping instead of showing up.
But when we work with the energy of the square to Neptune, the channel opens and we feel the Divine moving through us and the post gets written, the building just happens, and all with ease, so that showing up for your legacy feels like answering the call of your Higher Self rather than a chore to do.
If you find yourself in that Neptune shadow energy around this Full Moon, here is what I know works: raise your frequency first. Move your body. Go outside. Eat something nourishing. Put on music that makes you feel alive. Jump up & down if you have to. Do whatever it takes to shift the energy in your body, and then sit quietly & offer this prayer from A Course in Miracles:
Dear God, show me where to go, what to do, what to say & to whom.
And then listen. Something will come. An idea, an impulse, an image, a knowing. When it does, act on it as quickly as possible. The creative impulse stays alive when we honor it. It goes quiet when we ignore it.
This is the alchemy of Neptune square the Capricorn Full Moon: transform the fog of confusion into the clear channel of divine inspiration, and let what comes through become the thing you build next.
This Full Moon falls in Gate 58: The Gate of Vitality, also known as The Joyous.
Gate 58 lives in the Root Center & carries a deep pressure toward improvement. Not the heavy, critical kind of improvement that says this is broken and needs to be fixed, but the radiant, life-giving kind that says this is good, and I can feel how it could be even more beautiful.
The Shadow of Dissatisfaction is what happens when that drive to improve turns in on itself. When nothing feels like enough. When the mountain of responsibilities feels crushing rather than purposeful. When the inner voice is always pointing at what is lacking rather than what is being built.
The Gift of Vitality is the turning point. Here, that same drive to improve becomes something entirely different: a radiant life force that is in love with the process of making things better. Not because anything is wrong, but because life is endlessly, joyfully becoming. The question shifts from what is broken? to how could this get even better? And suddenly the energy that felt heavy becomes the energy that carries you.
This is where discipline transforms into devotion.
The Siddhi of Bliss is the full expression of this energy: the realization that life itself, in all of its imperfect perfection, is so astonishingly beautiful that joy is no longer something to be earned at the end of the journey. It is the quality of the journey itself. The better it gets, the better it gets, the better it gets.
Under this Full Moon, the invitation is simple: notice where you have been building from a place of dissatisfaction & what it might feel like to bring more devotion, more love, more genuine joy into whatever you are creating. Not because you have to. Because you get to.
CAPRICORN FULL MOON RITUAL
Capricorn is deeply connected to mountains, stones & the slow, patient wisdom of the Earth herself. Here is a simple ritual for this Full Moon:
Take two pieces of paper. On the first, write down everything you have been building, growing & creating since the beginning of 2026. Read it back to yourself & let yourself actually feel the pride & the gratitude of how much ground you have covered.
On the second piece of paper, write down what is ready to be released. The responsibilities that have run their course. The stories of dissatisfaction that have been keeping you endlessly improving. The heavy things you have been carrying that were never yours to carry into the second half of the year.
Find a stone, one that you feel drawn to & one you are willing to part with. Fold the second piece of paper around it. Find a patch of earth, in your garden, in a park, wherever you can put your hands in the soil, and dig a small hole. Bury the stone & the paper together as an offering: I release this now. I do not need to carry it forward.
Then stand up, breathe, & look at the horizon. The second half of 2026 is beginning. And you are more ready than you know.

Not from a place of needing to do more or be more, but from the deep & genuine recognition that you have been showing up, building, climbing & devoting yourself to something real. May you release with love whatever has become a burden rather than a gift. May the second half of 2026 feel less like a mountain to be conquered & more like a path to be walked with joy, with devotion & with the quiet unshakeable knowing that you are, in fact, exactly where you are supposed to be.
