Astro Insights for the Week of August 12-19th

Hold on to your hotpants… we’ve got 10 major Astrological events happening in a span of 6 days (4 days really), involving some of the biggest players in the heavens…

6. Venus square Jupiter
7. Venus opposite Saturn
8. Sun square Uranus
9. Aquarius Full Supermoon
10. Jupiter square Saturn

All planets & signs have their healed & unhealed expressions. Often, due to the state of the collective unconscious, on the global scale, we can see the unhealed expression, but on a personal level, we can have a more healed & integrated experience.

Yesterday I sat down & recorded over 1 hour of my insights on these planetary happenings, as well as how to navigate them. 

Mars conjunct (exactly aligned with) Jupiter at 16° Gemini on August 14th

Mars is the God of War. He fuels the fires of our passion, drive & motivation to take inspired action in the direction of our dreams. Jupiter is the King of the Gods & the largest planet in our Solar System. He expands everything he touches.

When Mars & Jupiter come together our primal creative energy is expanded & we can harness this energy to make quantum leaps, expanding what is possible in our lives. On the other hand, this can also bring an expansion of the energy of war & aggression. In Gemini, this can also be an explosion of information.

Mars at 17° Gemini square Saturn Retrograde at 17° Pisces – August 15th

Mars likes to take action, to move forward (quickly), to launch himself into the things he’s passionate about. Saturn is the Lord of Time, representing authority, boundaries & responsibility. The square is most commonly known for its challenges & blockages, but with some dedication & effort, these challenges can become the building blocks for a sustainable foundation.

Fresh off his fiery expansion with Jupiter, Mars square Saturn can have us feeling like we just got clotheslined. Move your body, lift weights, harness this energy to accomplish those tasks that require hard work & stamina. This can also indicate totalitarian oppression of actions.

Mercury Retrograde at 27° Leo square Uranus at 27° Taurus – August 18th

Uranus represents the rebel, the revolutionary, the innovative scientist, and brings the focus to change, freedom & our Authenticity. There can be breakdowns that lead to breakthroughs & even when the rug gets pulled out from under our feet, when the dust settles we can find ourselves more free than before. Mercury is communication, technology, travel & the mental field.

With Mercury Rx square Uranus we can feel restless yet unable to communicate where we need to change, or the changes we make can cause miscommunications. As Uranus also rules the internet, this can also be misinformation about revolutionary global changes.

The Sun will conjunct (exactly align with) Mercury Retrograde, then square Uranus – August 18th & 19th

This can continue to shine the light on any tensions that were brought up by the Mercury Rx Uranus square. This is also part of what is involved with the Aquarius Full (Super)Moon – highlighting our need for the freedom to be our unique, authentic, individual selves and any emotional difficulties with communicating the insights & revelations brought about by changes in our values that have occurred over the past 6 years. Also at the time of the Full Moon, we have Jupiter & Mars both forming a T-squre to the opposition between Venus & Saturn Retrograde, as well as the T-square from Uranus to Mercury Retrograde & the Sun.

Venus at 17° Virgo opposes Saturn Retrograde at 17° Pisces on August 18/19th

Venus is the Goddess of Beauty, Love, Art, Money, and Relationships. When she opposes Saturn we can experience restriction or limitation (often from an outer authority) related to the themes of Venus. This isn’t always bad! Under this energy when we put in the time, effort & hard work required to manage & take responsibility for our resources, the long-term results can be beautiful and lucrative. With the-Square from Mars & Jupiter, there can be an amplification of any tensions related to our desire to make fast & expansive movements in our lives. Remember: with Saturn, slow & steady wins the race.

If it feels like a lot, that’s because it is. But also remember that your soul very specifically & intentionally decided to come here at this time, knowing all about (you are so smart) all of this Astrological weather.

The best guidance I can give you is:

• Follow your Human Design Strategy & Authority always. No matter what is happening in the heavens, this will always help you navigate these energies well.
• Move your body (but take care not to overdo it). Mars needs to move & needs a job to focus his energy on.
• Cultivate patience – with yourself, with Humanity, with your loved ones.
